Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19th, 1965. She is an American actor and producer. She is most famous for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended on August 13, 2012, following the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick won an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, an therapist for speech and family, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and claims she goes to Passover seders.
